The Challenge
The client had a solution to offer and experience working in high-threat environments and with foreign organisations, but to achieve a high score, it needed advice and expertise on the UK Defence procurement process and good practice. As a relatively small company, our client was not in a position to secure a full Salentis-managed service. A further challenge was that there would be less than five weeks between the ITN issue and the submission of a response.
The Solution
Salentis provided a senior associate with considerable experience in bid leadership, public sector procurement and Salentis System tools and management systems relevant to this procurement. He:
- Provided a compliant end-to-end bid process for the technical response linked to the tender timeline.
- Advised on how their solution could be articulated in the response and delivered in service in a compelling manner.
- Reviewed, refined and proofread the technical responses for the submission to ensure that our client submitted a complete, compliant and compelling response on time.
The Impact
Salentis’ client was down-selected to the next stage of the procurement by the MOD. The Salentis senior associate then assisted with contract negotiation preparations and pre-mobilisation planning. The contract was subsequently awarded to the client.
